Board vacancies
In accordance with Section 8.3(b) of the AustCham Singapore Constitution, nominations for vacant board positions closed on Tuesday, 6 June 2023.
This year there are six (6) vacancies on the Board, with four existing Board Members re-nominating (Chris Coburn, Scott Speedie, Carolyn Chin-Parry, and Stephen Miller) and two new vacancies. In the lead-up to the 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) the Board conducted a review of the skills and experience required for it to best perform its governance responsibilities, identifying the following key requirements:
- Accounting, and financial management, specifically to fill the soon-to-be vacant role of Honorary Treasurer
- Legal and governance experience and expertise
- ESG and sustainability expertise
In response we have received 13 nominations, which is an incredible testament to the depth of experience, passion, and commitment our members have to make AustCham Singapore the best organization we can be. Thank you to all our nominees for taking the time to complete the nomination process and put yourselves forward for these important positions. Candidate statements can be downloaded here. Candidates and their statements have been presented in the order they will appear on the ballot paper. In accordance with Section 8.5(c) of the AustCham Singapore Constitution, positioning has been determined by a random draw carried out by the Executive Director and supervised by the Honorary Secretary. The candidate statements also reflect the ballot paper by noting, with an asterisk against the name, those sitting Board members standing for re-election.
